Cracking Easter for Peel RR – Weekly round up – 18th Apr 2017

Peel Road Runners had a cracking Easter with some eggs-ceptional performances  both home and away.

Zoe Schnepp hopped up the A5 to run at the Chasewater Easter Egg 10k event. The route which took in the undulating paths and trails around the Chasewater Reservoir saw Zoe smash her PB her with a time of 48:46mins.

Scrambling around the Northampton countryside was Bob Donovan who was running in the Chocothon Marathon. Bob completed the 26.2 mile course in 5:21:20

Turning out for Kingsbury Water Parkrun duties last week, the first Peel Road Runner to (hot) cross (bun) the line was Tim Gould in a quick 21:14mins. Next Peeler across the finish following some time off with an injury was Shaun Coyle with 23:42mins with Stuart Hatton closely behind with 23:51mins.

Marcus Fairburn chased Stuart home with 24:49mins. Robert Hirst finished with 24:55mins, Sandra Ingram with 25:36mins and was followed home again by Darren Truman with 25:37mins and George Hope with 26:25mins.

Meanwhile, at the Delamere Parkrun, Peel Road Runner Robbie Baden ran an eggs-traordinary time of 18:18mins, finishing in 5th place overall in a field of 418 runners.

And finally, after 16wks of focussed training, the Peel Road Runners would also like to wish Sandra Ingram, Stuart Hatton and Mark Harriott the very best of luck with their endeavours in the  London Marathon this coming weekend.

Peel Road Runners meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm at the Snowdome in Tamworth.
